QRIO Quits

I know this is old news, but sad nonetheless:

Sony announced on January 26 that it would stop development and production on its 2-legged robot, QRIO, due in part to the company’s restructuring scheme. QRIO has appeared in commercials as a company icon. Sony, however, confirmed the continued R&D on Artificial Intelligence, the technology that Sony has gained in the field of robotics.

I’ll always remember his great dance moves.
