  • An Afternoon in Ginza

I was just at the Ginza Graphic Gallery for its monthly exhibition, a show I wasn’t even sure I would take the time to check out. I just don’t really care for the esthetics of Balarinji, which is the reason I didn’t mention the show here. Balarinji’s John Moriarty has developed “a design signature that…

  • Tokyo Vs. NYC

Hiromix is dead (read the comments), long live 1998! Pictured is the cover to the latest issue of VICE, The Sex Issue.

  • Studio Voice

The new issue of STUDIO VOICE (05/03) goes after “architecture and art,” something that’s obviously right up my alley. • Shift 99

The new issue of online design magazine SHIFT (99) is now up. It features a cover design (and interview) by Marcos Weskamp, coverage of a few recent design-related events, and all your favorite regular sections — you know you’re just itching to check out the new “Girls on the Street.” In case you missed it,…

  • MoCo Loco Guesting

I’ll be guesting at MoCo Loco next week, alongside MoCo San Francisco editor Joshua Lurie-Terrell, while our MoCo leader Harry Wakefield is away on holidays. I’ll probably end up posting 3-4 entries, starting on Monday. And for those wondering what’s happened with MoCo Tokyo (last entry was mid-January), things are going to get back on…
