And that’s it for my 1995 movie marathon (following 1967, 1968, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, and 1994). Even though my initial list of things to potentially watch was at around 50-60, and I was planning on watching at least 30 or more, I’ve decided to tap out at 26 out of fatigue, and a desire to just move on and watch other things at this point (I also recently subscribed to the Criterion Channel, and there’s so much I want to watch there). There were definitely a lot of great movies in 1995, with the growing influence of indie films — and some classics that I just didn’t get around to re-watching — and as with all these marathons, it’s fun to spend time focusing on a particular year of filmmaking.
