Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Season 3)

As I just wrote, after finishing the Rebels series I decided to go back and finish watching The Clone Wars. I did like that series, but for some reason had only watched the first 2-3 seasons. I picked up in the second half of season 3, which I’ve now finished, and I’m liking it quite a bit — and it was especially interesting to watch the sequence of episodes that involved the three Force users that we see on the temple wall towards the end of Rebels. I prefer the aesthetic of The Clone Wars over Rebels, as it uses a more realistic look in terms of style and lighting, and more defined features on the characters, and more detailed vehicles. Seeing as how I’m enjoying going through the remaining seasons, I’m now that much more excited that we’re going to get an extra season.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Season 3)

I’ve been slowly watching the third season of The Clone Wars animated series on Netflix, and gotta say, it keeps getting better and better. Makes me realize that the setting of the prequels isn’t really the problem, but rather that they’re just bad movies with bad storytelling.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

I watched the first two seasons of this a while back (when I was still in Japan), and recently decided to jump back in with season 3, and I gotta say that I’m really enjoying it, much more than I remembered. I’m sure it’s in part because of my current enthusiasm for all things Star Wars (well, most things Star Wars), but yeah, it’s well made, and easily surpasses what we saw from the prequels. It’s nice to know that I have a whole bunch more to get through, and that it’s all handily available through Netflix (and I think season 6 is in fact exclusive to Netflix).

The Clone Wars

A while back I decided to give the Clone Wars animated series a try, and now as I finish off the second season, I can say that I’m glad I did. Sure, I’m not at all a fan of the prequels, but I am excited for the upcoming Rebels animated series – that will take place between episodes 3 and 4 – and one thing I can say about Clone Wars is that it really is much, MUCH better than the prequels. I love the look of it – a perfect balance of cartoony and realism (well, fantastic realism) – and the stories are exciting, with great action, and some interesting multi-episode arcs that get pretty juicy within the “world” of Star Wars. Looking forward to working my way through the rest of the seasons.
