  • More Frog Style

Added these 3 frogs from the latest Frog Style series (’06 Winter Ver.) to my collection the other day — it’s harder to find the gacha-gacha machines that sell them these days, but I did find one at the Bic Camera in Yurakucho.

  • Midwest Cafe

I wrote about the Midwest Cafe in Shibuya the other day on Gridskipper, and so here’s another photo I took, as well as a larger version of the one that was included with the post.

  • Atelier Oi at Keiji Ashizawa Design Offices

Earlier tonight I attended a presentation by the Swiss design unit Atelier OiΒ at designer/architect Keiji Ashizawa‘s office — they are collaborating together on a new Swatch Group building in Ginza. It was quite nice to learn more about how Atelier Oi approaches their various projects — all quite diverse — and I also got to…

  • Juliana Vol. 1

This past Sunday marked the debut of Tokyo Fun Party‘s new series of parties, “Juliana,” at Soft in Shibuya. It was an absolute blast, and I’m already looking forward to the next one. Today marks the start of Huschang and Sonia‘s Ooito and Th’ Rezidents exhibition at Cafe Pause (until December 24), and so I’ve put up a Flickr photoset of a few shots I took tonight. As the exhibition will be held in two phases — read about it here — I’ll add more photos to the…

  • PauseTalk 6

Last night saw another great turnout for PauseTalk, with me managing to get through it despite my cold (I didn’t have much of a voice by the end though). We discussed the wiki project — the wiki is online, but I haven’t made it public yet, but this should happen soon enough — and also…

  • See There, Can’t See There

The other day I went to see Nao Suzuki‘s new photo exhibition, “See There, Can’t See There,” (along with photographer Noboru Takahashi) at the Yokohama Portside Gallery, which runs until December 22. Here’s a Flickr photoset of a few shots I took.
