Tokumaru Shugo

A few weeks ago I mentioned ordering Tokumaru Shugo‘s new album, NIGHT PIECE, on the Music Related label after listening to a great MP3 preview (which you can find here), and I received the album in the mail 2 days ago. I’ve listened to it a few times now (mostly on the iPod during my daily commute) and I’m absolutely in love with it. What I so enjoyed from the online preview is amplified on the full length album. Great sweet pop sounds that are a bit dirty, a bit shaky, and simply beautiful. Definitely recommended, and I hope Tokumaru gives a show in Tokyo sometime soon. Thanks to Trevor, who runs the label, for turning me on to this (and also looking forward to other Music Related releases).
