Date

Is there a point to having everything dated? I’ve already ranted about the fact that to me this site is more like a magazine (at least that’s the way I approach it), and I’m questioning the use of dates and time associated with all posts. Is it necessary? I mean, does anybody ever visit archives by the month? Seems like the site would better ressemble (feel like) what I want it to be if articles were just that, articles, and although they would still appear here in the order that they are posted (latest one on top), exact dating would be irrelevant. Any thoughts?
