DCROSS No More

Last week I moblogged my visit to the DCROSS cafe in Marunouchi (near Maru Biru), and I got word a few days later that the cafe is actually closing down at the end of the month. The thing is, it’s the Mitsubishi Electric company (sponsor of the cafe) who is moving their offices to the new Tokyo Building (next to the Tokyo International Forum). There is a possibility that the cafe will follow, but no confirmation yet.

And while I’m on the subject of the new Tokyo Building, I’ve been wanting to bring this up for over a month now, but I read a while back that Planet 3rd was going to open a branch there. I guess this replaces the branch that closed down in Shibuya earlier this year.

Oh, and speaking of Planet 3rd, I visited the Koenji branch for the first time a couple of weeks ago (met up with Koenji/Nakano boy Digiki, or is that The Notorious D.I.G.) and quite liked it. I actually prefer it over the old Shibuya one — they have comfy sofas!
