The End of .Mac (for Me)

I’ve decided to let my .Mac account expire (it did so today), which means that whoever used my Mac address (probably next to no one) should not use it anymore. I’ve been a .Mac subscriber since it first launched, and over the years have found it harder and harder to justify renewing, and this year was finally it for me. Since I do all my emailing in Gmail and am only on one computer now (I used to share time between my old iMac and an iBook, and so the .Mac syncing was quite useful), there was just nothing that could convince me to pay for another year. I’m assuming I can still use the same Mac ID for iChat, but if that stops working, I’ll get an AIM account to replace it.
