I really need to point out an album I’ve been quite enjoying of late. EGG BEATER is the second album by a band called Legofriendly, out on Intervall-audio. Both the group and the label are Tokyo-based, and although I’ve come across the label before (posted about it here), this was my introduction to Legofriendly (but now I’m thinking I should get ahold of their first album, FORM). How to describe it? I think the label site does it best: “dense urban electronic music with catchy melodies, funky rhythms and densely-layered audio landscapes.” You can go to the Intervall-audio page for the album and sample all six tracks from the record and then order straight from them.
