Batman v Superman

I finally watched this, the 3-hour “Ultimate” edition to be exact, and have to say that I really, really liked it – in fact, I watched it twice. I can’t comment on what is different between this edition and the one that came out in theaters, but to me it’s just a really great super-hero ride, and the action sequences are a blast – just like I felt for Man of Steel, for me this is what super-hero battles should look like, with a much more epic feel than what we tend to see in the Marvel movies. Also, the action scene where Batman goes to rescue Martha is I think my favorite super-hero action scene yet, and the closest I’ve ever seen Batman act and fight like he does in the comics. And to me, Wonder Woman was glorious, and I so can’t wait to see her solo movie (and the just-released trailer has me even more excited). The only bits I’m iffy on are the portrayal of Lex Luthor – although I don’t hate it, I can’t say that I really love it, as it feels a bit too manic – and that the Justice League teases are just that, teases, as I was expecting to see them a bit more in the film. But overall, yeah, I loved it.
