This was one of the series I included in my 2017 winter anime post as something I wanted to check out, and I’ve now watched the first 2 episodes. Although not bad, I’m still not sure whether I want to continue watching it or not — which is probably a sign that I should just quit now. The setting itself is interesting — a world divided in districts, with the main character acting as an inspector to uncover corruption — but there isn’t really yet happening to fully capture my interest, although I like how they make each visit to a district a sort of “travel” experience, with omiyage (souvenirs) being an important part of it. There is a mystery lurking behind it all, and that’s what makes me want to continue watching a bit, but we’ll see if I’m really in the mood for it next week.
