This is one of those classic horror movies of the era that a lot of people refer back to — it’s considered pretty influential in terms of the way it presents vampires — but I think I had never actually seen it. I did quite enjoy watching it now — sure, the effects are pretty hokey, but it’s a neat story, and the whole meta vibe (movie actor who hunts vampires on screen ends up doing it in real life) does feel very ahead of its time.
