Pray for Death

I’ve talked to a lot of people who think that what I’m doing with my 1985 movie marathon is ridiculous, and others who think that it’s probably best to leave these movies alone, to keep my memories of them intact. Well, Pray for Death is probably the best example, amongst everything I’ve watched, of one of those movies that I can’t believe I liked back then. I guess it’s not hard to understand why — I was a kid, ninjas were cool, period. But yeah, despite the presence of Sho Kosugi, this was pretty bad from start to finish, from bad acting to bad fighting sequences. And if the ninja fight scenes aren’t even good, what the hell are you left with? It was worth watching for the laughs though.
