  • Japan Expo 70 Stamp Poster

    —

I really love this poster that brings together pavilion stamps relating to Japan’s 1970 Expo. Designed by Alessandro Rinaudo, it’s a Kickstarter project with 2 weeks left, and currently at about 60% of its goal.

  • 100 Views of Tokyo

100 Views of Tokyo looks like a beautiful book featuring lovely illustrations of the megapolis by Shinji Tsuchimochi. The bilingual book also includes maps of the various areas — take a look at this page for more details. • Bird Coffee

If I find myself in Osaka, I’m definitely going to make a point of checking out Bird Coffee. Produced by Truck Furniture, it’s a beautiful cafe, and I recommend you take time going through the videos on their site — those donuts look delicious.

The list — that goes from 1979 to 1990 — is watch-friendly as it’s completely made of movies and OVAs (direct-to-video), so it’s easy to sample a lot of…

  • 40 Years of Tokyo Style in 1 Video

    —

    , , ,

I love this video so damn much. Produced by retail chain Beams, it’s a whirlwind tour of Tokyo style/culture over the past 40 years, compiled in a fun 5-minute mix of motion graphics and music. 40 years of fashion styles and music, and it makes me feel old when I think that I was there…

  • The Super Dimension Fortress Macross

    —

    ,

I recently noticed that the Robotech series from the 80s was added to Netflix (in Canada), and so I thought I’d start watching it. I have memories of really liking the series back when I was kid, but also that I had barely watched any of it, probably because it was only available on cable,…
