The Purple Machines
These purple machines are not binoculars, but I’m not sure what they are. I think it’s just to look at a slide show of pictures taken from the North Korean side. It was overcast on that day, which could explain their popularity.

I’m also big on checking out local TV, and it’s always the first thing I do when I check into my hotel room. What I mostly saw were dramas and serious talk shows, but I did catch a few variety shows, like this one featuring two comedians.
