Geisai

Something else I’ll have to miss this weekend: Geisai 6. From Momus’ Click Opera:

Geisai 6 opens on Sunday. Geisai is Tokyo’s biggest annual fair of new art from emerging talents. It was started by Takashi Murakami in 2002, and I attended the very first one. I’m looking forward to spending Sunday at this one, subtitled ‘Xtreme Art’. It’s opening on September 12th, running from 10am to 6pm at Tokyo Big Sight, a showspace on Odaiba which you can reach by taking the Yamanote line to Shimbashi station then switching to the monorail that crosses the bay.

Update: Read Momus’ report on the show, including lots of pics and a short video.
