Jean Prouve

D-Akihabara Temporary is really batting them out of the park these days!

Working as an architect, designer and engineer, Jean Prouve is one of the most versatile and innovative creator of the 20th century. This exhibition comes traveling from The Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama, where it was first held last year, showing more than 130 items including about 50 pieces of furniture, as well as architectural components and maquettes, and others that illustrate the philosophy and fascination of Jean Prouve. The venue is D-akihabara Temporary, a provisional museum set up in the building of a former high school, where shows such as “Small + Beautiful: Design from Switzerland” and “9tubohouse” are open concurrently.
