Yadoya

What do you do with a back-alley ex-izakaya set to be demolished? You organize an exhibition there of course, which is what you’re getting with “Yadoya,” a one-night only show to be held this Sunday (April 15, 18:00-21:00). As Alin Huma describes it, “5 people with quite unrelated backgrounds have spontaneously decided to have a show in a place they found interesting,” and I was also happy to see that two of the participants, Alin and Hiroki Otsuka, met at PauseTalk! The show will include the works of Alin and Hiroki, as well as Chieko Kawaguchi, Taku Anegawa, and Mariko Yamamoto. Here’s a map to the event space.
