TAB Talks #1
Last night I attended the first edition of TAB Talks in Gotanda at the new Gotanda Sonic event space. The guest speaker was Yoshio Suzuki, long-time editor at BRUTUS magazine who is behind most of the magazine’s art features. Expect a TABlog entry to sum up the talk sometime soon. I stopped by the Creation Gallery G8 in Ginza the other day for the “86th Art Directors Club Annual Awards” exhibition. I always enjoy going to this to see all of the interesting ad work and TV commercials I don’t see here in Japan, and this year I really liked watching the winning works in…

You can read Paul Baron’s post over at TABlog for all the details on what promises to be a…

Ginza the Edge
This past Friday night saw the opening of Alin Huma’s new gallery space, Ginza the Edge. The inaugural show, “Photography,” runs until February 29. It was a great turnout, and we pretty much filled up the relatively small space. The gallery actually takes up Alin’s apartment, and so every piece of “daily living” got removed…

AOU 2008
I attended both days of the AOU 2008 game show at Makuhari Messe (Friday and Saturday), with a few of the photos taken appearing in this Kotaku post, as well as some impressions (and more photos) of STREET FIGHTER 4 — I got a “perfect” win, yes I did! I had an absolute blast at…
